Greg Marchand, in his free time, is a paranormal/supernatural thriller author. His first novel, Yellowstone Shifters, is a byproduct of his four summers and one winter spent working in Yellowstone National Park as a cook, kitchen manager, and culinary apprentice.
Shortly after his adventures in Yellowstone, Greg went on to serve in the U.S. Army as a Psychological Ops Sergeant, transitioning from the Army National Guard where he served 6 years as a guy pumping gas for Abrams tanks. His full-time Army career took him from Yellowstone to Georgia, to North Carolina, to Afghanistan, to Guyana, and to Trinidad and Tobago.
And there went his twenties.
Exiting the Army, still not having utilized his bachelor's in Recreation from Western Kentucky University (attained in 2003) whatsoever, he chose to become a Medical Laboratory Technician. It is a field he welcomes, one with sometimes cantankerous lab instruments, yes, but one that helps keep his back uninjured and his brain a little sharper than it otherwise would be.
After obtaining his lab tech "big boy job" near his Indiana hometown and near his poor mother who hadn't had him around for a decade, Greg married his lovely wife and bought a big boy house. The American Dream was sealed, and this was when he reunited with his joy for writing.
Digging up an old manuscript he'd started while in the Army, then titled What Happens in Yellowstone, Greg dedicated himself to creating a full, published novel.
And so was born Yellowstone Shifters, originally published in 2021 with RhetAskew Publishing. Another novel is now complete, The Harlan Artifact, as well as several shorts that came to him along the way.
And there went his thirties...
